Destroyer – Savage Night at the Opera from Merge Records on Vimeo.

Destroyer made “Kaputt” this year and it must be one of my favourite albums of 2011. One of the fantastic songs comes with a great cruising video. Check it out!

Dominant Legs – Where We Trip The Light.

We’ve already posted a video of Dominant Legs, the brilliant new project of Ryan Lynch (guitarist at Girls) and Hannah Hunt. Together with two other members they make fantastic indiemusic. After a wonderfull EP, there will be a (probably fantastic) debutalbum (out September 27th) and one of the songs on that album is “Where we trip the light”. A fantastic popsong with a summerish vibe. And it comes with a letter! Read that one here. Now enjoy the track:

Dum Dum Girls – Bedroom Eyes.

After the slow and rather dull track “Coming Down” by Dum Dum Girls, we feared they lost their magic to make some cool riot grrrl  and poppy tunes. The atmosphere suited the content of the track but we were rather bored by it… Now we can have a listen to another track from their upcoming second album “Only in Dreams” and we can conclude: Dum Dum Girls never lost it, they still have it and they rock! A very cool and catchy track which nests in your ear and never let’s go for the rest of the day. Mission accomplished! Album out on September 27th via Sub Pop.

Surfer Blood – Miranda.

Yes it’s true, Surfer Blood will be back. After their very enjoyable debut album last year, they will release a brand new EP called Tarot Classics in October. This Ep will contain 4 tracks and one of them is “Miranda”, which you can stream below. Again straightforward rock ‘n (surf)roll. Great stuff with a catchy chorus. Check it out:

The Rapture – In the Grace of Your Love (full album stream).

After a very nice stream of The Drums, we can show you the way to another great albumstream! Post-punkers with a lotta funk, The Rapture, have a new album called “In the grace of your love”. We already knew “How deep is your love”, a bit of a style change, but a nice example of how the album sounds like. Again every track is commented on the site that streams the album, so no more talking. Only listening and dancing! Yeah!

The Drums – Portamento (full album stream).

For those who are curious what to expect from the new album by The Drums. You can stream their brand new “Portamento” here! Every song got a nice review there, so I will not add some lame bull here, just click the link and enjoy it/hate it.

As the first song states: “Let it begin”, let the hating by the hipsters begin. Let the rusty love begin too… Nice job Drums-boys!

Wavves – I Wanna Meet Dave Grohl.

Wow is it possible Wavves made a poppy track? Yes it is! “I wanna Meet Dave Grohl” sounds very sunny, poppy and californian. Almost like their awesome track “King Of The Beach”. Guess Best Coast had a big influence on this track. But still it’s Wavves, so expect some disortion for the last minute with a big punk-vibe and a lot of energy. Awesome track and YES YES YES FREE DOWNLOAD! The Full LP is out sept 19th. Can’t wait!
